The new year 2018 is upon us, which means it’s time to summarize the results of #KOLORO2017. Today on the program: updates on the team lineup, fun stories from the office, and the hottest projects of the year. Let’s go in order!

We’ve grown up and now we know more
The year started with the fact that we created our own full-fledged IT department, which included: a manager (part-time SEO specialist), a Frontend developer and a Backend programmer. Now we only have one question: how do people even live without developers on their team? Unthinkable!

Thanks to the new department we have redesigned our KOLORO websites for Ukraine and Russia. We also significantly accelerated the loading of the website of our motion design studio KINESKO and adapted its presentation for mobile devices.
To our clients we can now offer not only the development of a company website, catalog or online store, but also full-fledged Internet promotion of these resources. Which means your websites will not just be beautiful and user-friendly, but will start selling quickly, attracting new customers.
There is a new strategist on staff, Cyril, who has joined the marketing team. What does that mean? – That’s right, our promotional strategies for clients will be more effective and flexible.
At first we forgot about them, but then we remembered that without them we wouldn’t have a paycheck and our clients would burn us at the stake of the Inquisition. Of course, we are now about the new sales and account managers Katya. Say hello to the new arrivals 😉

And last but not least – our new 3D modeler Vladimir is a real find and a very creative specialist. He has already been involved in projects to create a case for the PAX vaporizer and design a bill clip. Did zoning of a furniture store and its 3D visualization. Fresh work will appear in our portfolio in the New Year. We’ll be sure to tell you about them in the newsletter.

KOLORO corporate days 2017: hippies and crazies
In the summer of 2016, we held our first corporate inaugural luncheon. It was an improvisation built on the naked enthusiasm of marketer Daria. But everyone liked the idea, and from time to time we continued the tradition: we met for meals, discussed plans, and met new people in the team. In 2017 we got an HR manager Tatiana who took the holiday to a new level. Now it’s a themed day where everyone dresses up in costumes and we eat and go out on the town. We love this day, and not just because the company pays for lunch 🙂

Most colorful this time was the hippie-themed day, and most fun was the Crazy House-themed November event. You know, it’s always nice to show your true colors.
Projects… Projects never end
It often feels like a document with a new batch of edits is longer than an Excel sheet, but in the end we turn in the project and see our brands on store shelves. And then save whoever you can, if you don’t, you’ll hear right in the supermarket that we did it. We’re fanatical about our products. We have breakfast sandwiches with Globino processed cheese and Indelika sausage. We drink Mava coffee to keep us going. I’d like to say that every month we fly to America to eat at L’OMBRE restaurant, but I’m just a copywriter and usually “fly” only around Kiev by marshrutka, which, by the way, has gone up to 6 UAH 🙁
This year we completed the first stage of creating an umbrella dairy brand for the Russian market. The strategy is ready, the positioning has been chosen and now we are working on creating a corporate identity. The name of the customer is still a secret, but you will soon find out for yourself.
It was also the first time we created a design for a premium meat brand. Sausage labels have been in our portfolio before. However, new CA – new challenges, and we were happy to take them on!

While some projects are only at the launch stage, others can already be found on shelves and in establishments. MAVA coffee is one of them. You can see and feel it at Auchan.

Among other things we launched 2 websites: KINESKO motion design studio and KATASIS web studio. The first one is already showing great results. You can read about the process here. In a nutshell, we are LESS likely to receive applications and attendance is up. For KATASIS, we bought a domain, collected semantics, the site is already indexed, and we are preparing to launch it in a new design.

What to expect from 2018 at KOLORO? We start the year with two international projects at once. We’re off to a low start and have already started prep work on two new brands. Meat and wine, one comes from Kazakhstan, the other from Georgia. Totally different, but equally interesting and challenging us in new ways.
We also plan to finish the migration of KATASIS to an independent platform at the beginning of the year, because our web-designer has already drawn the layouts. After that, we will start promoting the resource in the CIS and gradually attack the markets of Europe and the USA. We work according to the proven method: “eyes fear, but hands do”.

We are looking forward to the New Year. Let’s raise our glasses to new interesting projects, KOLORO growth, new members of our team and, of course, to you – our dear customers. Otherwise we’d be bored at home and continue watching shows, playing games, drinking beer….. (hmm, we’ve taken a wrong turn somewhere).
