BRAND DESIGN OF HARD CHEESE OTCHIZNA

HISTORY OF COOPERATION

Representatives of the company Molex approached KOLORO to create a dairy brand. We developed naming, design and positioning of TM “Mildar” for them.
The company was satisfied with this cooperation and we did one more project – the design of hard cheese “otChizna”.

TO DESIGN CHEESE: THE CHALLENGE

We were required to create a logo design for the cheese and a design concept. The products are in the economy segment. The line consists of 5 traditional flavors – Russian, Dutch, Poshekhonsky, Kostroma and Creamy.
The cheese will be positioned as a simple product – for daily consumption with sandwiches and tea.

Logo creation

The logo was the main challenge in this project. It was important to convey the simple and rough character of the brand and emphasize the natural origin of the products. The fringe lines give the brand a sharpness. In the final version, the design team settled on a wood texture for the logo.

CHEESE PACKAGING DESIGN

The design was developed for the bar packaging for 5 SCU. The main solution is a black geometric pattern that stands out on the shelf and forms a brand color spot. This makes the brand stand out on the shelf. On each pack, we used an appetizing photo of the finished sandwich. There is also a unique text reinforcing the product image on each pack.

BUILDING A HARD CHEESE BRAND: CONCLUSIONS

As a result, we got a cheese brand with character that stands out on the shelf, is favorable in the economy segment and has an interesting, memorable and catchy identity.
All KOLORO projects are the result of coordinated work of marketers and designers. Before the start of design development, we thoroughly analyze the market and trends to make a product that will appeal to the target audience.
