These parts are technological elements and are in direct contact with the molding material. They are the most time-consuming parts of the mold in terms of design, because they must <strong>match the configuration of the molded<\/strong> parts very precisely. Elements of structural significance (retainers, ejectors, bushings, etc.) ensure the operation of technological elements.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The material (melt) is fed through the sprue <strong>system<\/strong>. The plastic is fed into the mold under high pressure so that it fills even the smallest cavities. The <strong>cooling system<\/strong> helps the material to harden quickly (a few seconds), after which the <strong>ejection system<\/strong> removes the plastic product from the molding slot.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cavities inside the mold are the <strong>reverse imprint of the outer surface of<\/strong> the future product. The accuracy of the design of this part of the mold determines the quality of the final product.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-&#x432;&#x438;&#x434;&#x44B;-&#x43F;&#x440;&#x435;&#x441;&#x441;-&#x444;&#x43E;&#x440;&#x43C;\">Types of molds<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the number of simultaneously formed parts, molds can be <strong>single or multi-part<\/strong>. The latter allow the production of a large number of small parts, thus increasing productivity and reducing the cost of production by an order of magnitude.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/koloro.ua\/files\/images\/content\/\/59f3833867e57.jpg\" alt=\"Multi-place mold\" title=\"image\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Multi-place molds for making plastic cups and handles.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the type of operation they are distinguished:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>removable<\/strong> (the molds are not fixed on the plates of the injection molding machine and are periodically removed to retrieve the finished product);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>stationary<\/strong> (the product is removed by means of pushers without removing it from the casting machine plate).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Removable molds are less productive and are used quite rarely, only when producing small batches of products.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <strong>location of the parting plane<\/strong>, there are molds with vertical and horizontal planes. Forms with vertical planes are equipped with two-piece connectors in one plane, and forms with horizontal planes are equipped with three-piece connectors in two planes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <strong>type of gating system<\/strong> &#8211; hot-channel or cold-channel. In order to make a mold, you need to have a 3D model of the product itself. Without it, it is impossible to get an accurate mold. If possible, the customer provides drawings, a 3D model of the product, a finished sample or a photo of it. Modern software allows modelers to <strong>automate the design process<\/strong> to ensure that the design is robust and reliable for heavy use.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-&#x44D;&#x442;&#x430;&#x43F;-&#x438;&#x437;&#x433;&#x43E;&#x442;&#x43E;&#x432;&#x43B;&#x435;&#x43D;&#x438;&#x435;-&#x438;-&#x441;&#x431;&#x43E;&#x440;&#x43A;&#x430;-&#x434;&#x435;&#x442;&#x430;&#x43B;&#x435;&#x439;-&#x43F;&#x440;&#x435;&#x441;&#x441;-&#x444;&#x43E;&#x440;&#x43C;&#x44B;\"><strong>Stage 2: Manufacturing and assembly of mold parts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 3D model of the mold is broken down into individual parts, each of which is manufactured separately from quality steel on a high-precision machine with state-of-the-art software. All parts are then assembled into the finished mold.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-&#x44D;&#x442;&#x430;&#x43F;-&#x442;&#x435;&#x441;&#x442;&#x43E;&#x432;&#x430;&#x44F;-&#x43E;&#x442;&#x43B;&#x438;&#x432;&#x43A;&#x430;\"><strong>Stage 3: Test casting<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mold produces the first piece of product.
