3D graphics<\/strong> is one of the sections of computer graphics, which operates techniques and tools for depicting and manipulating three-dimensional objects in three-dimensional space.<\/p>\n\n

As a result of using 3D graphics, an object can be represented as a “flat” image – a projection of the object, or as a 3D animation<\/strong>. But due to the creation of 3D printers and 3D displays, sometimes it is not necessary at all to project an object on a plane. <\/p>\n\n

3D graphics are widely used in cinematography and computer games.<\/strong> But with computer and 3D technology gaining momentum, 3D graphics are also being used in science, industry, medicine and architecture.<\/p>\n\n

The use of 3D graphics in industry is<\/strong> more effective if it is used in conjunction with rapid prototyping technology<\/strong> – the creation of prototypes and models.<\/p>\n\n

Since 3D graphics<\/strong> is a representation of three-dimensional objects, it is obvious that it is closely related to 3D modeling<\/strong> – the process of creating 3D models. With the help of 3D graphics and 3D modeling it is possible to create an exact or reduced\/enlarged copy of a particular object, or to create a model of a nonexistent or invisible object (e.g. a model of the solar system, a model of an atom) – all this can be defined under the concept of “object modeling<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n\n

In 3D graphics separately distinguish such a direction as CGI<\/strong> graphics(computer-generated imagery<\/strong>) – this is the creation of still or moving images created with three-dimensional graphics, and which are used in cinematography, fine art, printed matter, television, etc.(<\/strong>BUT not incomputer<\/strong> games – they usually usecomputer-generated imagery<\/strong> real-time). (BUT not in computer games – they usually use real-time computer graphics). <\/p>\n\n

Moving images are produced using computer animation<\/strong> (a narrower area of CGI graphics). The use of computer graphics CGI<\/strong> allows in movies to replace the work of stuntmen, extras and even scenery.<\/p>\n\n

There are annual 3D graphics contests<\/strong>, the largest being:<\/p>\n\n

1) Dominance War<\/strong> is a contest to create a 3D character from scratch<\/strong>. The contest has rules and restrictions that must be adhered to: <\/p>\n\n
