3D graphics is one of the sections of computer graphics, which operates techniques and tools for depicting and manipulating three-dimensional objects in three-dimensional space.

In 3D graphics separately distinguish such a direction as CGI graphics(computer-generated imagery) – this is the creation of still or moving images created with three-dimensional graphics, and which are used in cinematography, fine art, printed matter, television, etc.(BUT not incomputer games – they usually usecomputer-generated imagery real-time). (BUT not in computer games – they usually use real-time computer graphics).
Moving images are produced using computer animation (a narrower area of CGI graphics). The use of computer graphics CGI allows in movies to replace the work of stuntmen, extras and even scenery.

1) Dominance War is a contest to create a 3D character from scratch. The contest has rules and restrictions that must be adhered to:
- It is forbidden to use materials, drawings and basic models that existed before the contest;
- one participant can take part in the contest with only one work;
- there are several classes of 3D characters, you cannot change the character class during the contest;

2) Magic next-gen – a contest to create 2D and 3D characters of legends, myths and fairy tales. The contest participants are practically unlimited. More details about the contest can be found on the organizer’s website.
